Storyboard & Description

8-beat storyboard (rough):

• 1 – Falling: Ball drops from a building.
• 2 – Bouncing: First ground impact and rebound.
• 3 – Rolling: Rolls from sidewalk into the street.
• 4 – Car Hit (Anticipation → Impact): Car strikes the ball.
• 5 – Building Hit: Ball ricochets off another building.
• 6 – Launch to Hoop: Ball arcs toward the rim.
• 7 – Roll on Rim: Follows the rim’s curve, wobbling.
• 8 – Drop In: Falls cleanly through the hoop.

Animation Principles Used

• Squash & Stretch — impact deformation on bounce.

• Anticipation — pre-moment before the car strike.

• Arc & Follow Through — ball rolling around the rim; overlapping action.
